DR. FAHMIDA JABEEN
(Executive Director)
Dr. Fahmida Jabeen, the Executive Director of IM Group of Researchers, has completed her doctorate from the Institute of Chemical Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Najam ul Haq. She has worked on the development of separation strategies for the selective separation of biomolecules in the field of proteomics. Currently, she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Institute of Chemical Sciences, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. Her research interests lie in the fields of separation science, nanomaterials and composites, polymeric stationary phases, phosphoproteomics, glycoproteomics, and lipoproteomics.

Dr. Ashraf Ali, the Director of IM Group of Researchers, is an Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering , Henan University of Technology, China. He has work experience as Postdoctoral fellow in Inha University South Korea (March 2018-August 2020), Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, The University of Haripur Pakistan (September 2020-January 2023). Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in Henan University of Technology, China (January 2023- till date).

DR. MEMUNA GHAFOOR SHAHID

Dr. Memuna Ghafoor Shahid is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, GC University, Lahore. She got her PhD degree from GC University, Lahore, Pakistan and recently won the HEC Post-Doc. Fellowship for research in University of Edinburgh, UK. She is an author of number of research articles and book chapters published in reputable research journals and books. She is also serving as an associate editor of various research journals of Botany. She is also serving as Advisor, Horticultural Society, GC University, Lahore, Pakistan. She has organized various national and international conferences, seminars and trainings on Plants, Floral Arts and on Biotechnology. She is also an HEC approved supervisor and also conducting research at graduate and post-graduate levels. DR. ADNAN
(Director)
Dr. Adnan, the Director of IM Group of Researchers, is an Assistant Professor of Material and Analytical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Sciences, the University of Swat, Pakistan. He received his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2014 and he completed part of his PhD from Columbia University, NY, USA. His research interest includes alternate energy production; energy storage & water splitting reactions; heterogeneous catalysis; waste to valuable chemicals and fuels; nano-size particle technology; removal of heavy metals, dyes, and other toxicants from aqueous media; method development for the determination of toxicants. He has published several research papers in prestigious journal and conferences, such as journal of molecular structure, coordination chemistry reviews, journal of industrial and engineering chemistry, journal of Taiwan institute of chemical engineers, journal of analytical and applied pyrolysis, and process safety and environmental protection etc.

DR. MUHAMMAD NASIMULLAH QURESHI

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasimullah Qureshi is currently working as Chairman, Department of Chemistry, University of Swabi. He got his PhD degree from the University of Innsbruck, Austria and completed Post Doctorate Chinese Academy of Science, China. He is the author of a number of research articles published in reputable research journals, book chapters and technical reports. He is the editor and reviewer of a number of Chemistry research journals. He has been among the organizers of national and international conferences and presented his research work in national and international forums in different countries. He is an HEC and IRTC approved supervisor for research scholars and students at graduate and undergraduate level. His research achievements/contributions are internationally acknowledged, highly applicable and have long lasting impacts in the industrial sector. His established protocols/techniques are being used in national, international pharmaceutical/chemical industries for the quality control of different materials, products and for R&D activities. Based on his research work he has been awarded OEAD visiting researcher fellowship, Austria 2022, Ernst-Mach Award, Austria 2018 and 2019, Chinese Academy of Science Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars from Developing Countries Award, China in 2014, Research Productivity Award by the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology, Pakistan in 2012, HEC-OEAD scholarships for PhD studies in Austria, and Productive Scientist of Pakistan.

DR. ERDAL YABALAL

Erdal Yabalak has been Assoc. Prof. of Chemistry since 2019 and currently works in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technology and the Department of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at Mersin University Turkey. He received his BSc (Chemistry) from Mersin University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Chemistry in 2008, and his MSc and PhD degrees from Mersin University, Institute of Science and Technology, Department of Chemistry, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. He was a research assistant between 2008 and 2015 and a Dr. research assistant between 2015 and 2019. His research areas include extraction, solubility degradation, and synthesis in sub/supercritical fluids medium. Also, chromatography, degradation of water pollutants and hazardous materials, water purification, environmental and analytical chemistry, biochar/ hydrochar production and utilization, and nanotechnology, as well as analysis of the chemical contents of endemic plants and determination of phytochemicals, antioxidants and other bioactive compounds are his research interests.

Professor Dr. Nazish Mazhar Ali, the Director of IM Group of Researchers, is an Assistant Professor at Department of Zoology, Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan.

DR. SARA JANIAD
(Managing Director)
Dr. Sara Janiad, managing director of IM Group of Researchers, is working as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, The Women University Multan, Pakistan. She has strong information in Microbiology techniques related to the selection and screening of microbes including bacteria, cyanobacteria, and microalgae, sensitivity testing, vibrant in the field of biofuel production (Biodiesel, bio-hydrogen, bioethanol) from cyanobacteria and microalgae, experience in the field of Bioinformatics and Bio-statistical analysis. She has completed her PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, from The Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of the Punjab. She worked as a guest researcher at the Angstrom Laboratory, Uppsala University, Sweden. She has been a core member of SciFest-2017- Uppsala University Sweden. She received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 11th Biennial Conference on Molecular Biosciences- Challenges and Opportunities (2013). She is working as an Associate and Managing Editor of The Journal of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics; Assistant Director of QEC (Quality Enhancement Cell), and Assistant Director of ORIC (Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization), The Women University Multan, Pakistan.

AQSA IQBAL
(Assistant Director)
Ms. Aqsa Iqbal, Assistant Director of IM Group of Researchers, has completed her M.Sc. in analytical chemistry from the School of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore and her M.Phil. in chemistry from the University of Okara. Her research interests lie in the development of novel treatment methods and technologies for effectively removing pollutants and contaminants from wastewater. Her publication areas include nanohybrid batteries, MXenes in energy storage applications, nanosensors for environmental samples, polymers recycling, organic contaminants in food and wastewater treatment. She has the honor of developing website for this organization. Currently, she is serving as lecturer chemistry in University of Okara.

ATIR NAEEM QURASHI
He is a Team Lead, Host and Website Manager (SEO & Content Development) at IM Group of Researchers. He completed his Bachelors in Analytical Chemistry from FUUAST Karachi & M.Phil. Chemistry from The IUB, Bahawalpur. He is a skilled laboratory operator with hands on working experience in various analytical techniques and instrumentation. His research is focused on Gold Nanoparticles functionalized with polymer as efficient Colorimetric Sensors (chemosensors) for Pharmaceutical and Environmental samples. He has been a quality assurance officer for multinational pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer Inc. & Abbott Laboratories). Currently, he is working as an Educator at SED, Punjab & part-time as a Science Communicator and SEO-based content for websites. Mr. Atir Naeem Qurashi is known for his active and devoted participation in the IM Group of Researchers.

FAIZAN WASEEM BUTT
Mr. Faizan Waseem Butt is the Co-founder and Team Leader of IM Group of Researchers. He completed his M.Phil. from GCU, Lahore. Currently, he is working as a lecturer in HED, Punjab. Mr. Faizan is known for his active and devoted participation within the IM Group of Researchers. He has been nominated for the Best Author Award by the IM Group of Researchers.

Umaima
Ms Umaima is an executive board member. She holds a BS degree in Chemistry from Rawalpindi Women University, with a specialization in Organic Chemistry during the 2019–2023 session. She is currently pursuing an MPhil in Computational Chemistry at NUST Islamabad, where her research focuses on Density Functional Theory (DFT) studies in Physical Chemistry and energy storage devices. She has hands-on experience with various computational software tools, including Gaussian, Quantum Espresso, Materials Studio, VESTA, BURAI, and MOE, as well as visualization software such as Ovito, Xcrysden, and Xmgrace. In addition to her academic background, she has four years of professional experience in graphic design. She is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Canva Pro, and specializes in designing scientific and research posters, conference presentations, graphical abstracts, and more. Her creative work has earned her first-place awards in both inter- and intra-university poster competitions. She has also dedicated three years to social work, contributing in various leadership roles within different NGOs.

NAQSHE ZUHRA
Ms. Naqshe Zuhra, a distinguished Environmental Scientist and Researcher with a prestigious B.Sc. (Hons.) in Environmental Sciences and a Bronze Medallist. With a stellar international research background, including notable contributions at TH KOLN University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and active participation in global forums such as the Annual Meeting of South Asian Nitrogen Hub in Maldives and the Nitrogen Workshop in Spain. Her commitment to shaping a sustainable future is evident through her passion for optimizing nutrient utilization and minimizing environmental impact. As a World Bank Youth Summit 2023 delegate, she not only completed the Environmental & Social Framework Training but also organized a World Bank training workshop at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. A dedicated educator, Ms. Zuhra is devoted to nurturing bright minds for a greener tomorrow.

HAJIRA MAHMOOD
Ms. Hajira Mahmood is a Ph.D. Chemistry scholar at GCUF. She completed her Bachelor’s in Applied Chemistry at GCUF, where her research focused on “A Brief Report on Green Natural Dyes Based on Color Index.” She then earned her MPhil in Analytical Chemistry, also from GCUF, with a thesis titled “Method Development for the Determination of Amino Acids from Hair Samples Using Ion Exchange Chromatography,” supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ijaz Hussain. She plans to publish the results of her research shortly.
Ms. Mahmood is also working on publications related to computational chemistry, graphene composites, and plant-based studies, all of which are in progress.
Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Chemistry at GCUF, Ms. Mahmood’s research interests include the extraction of polyphenols from natural sources, optimization of extraction parameters, nanoparticles, nano-encapsulation, and targeted drug delivery. She has actively participated in various seminars, webinars, and conferences, both in-person and online. Recently, she attended a 2-day hands-on workshop organized by the Nano-Materials & Biosensing Research Center (NBRC), Department of Physics, GCUF, where she gained practical experience in cutting-edge research techniques.

KASHAF SEHAR RANA
Ms. Kashaf Sehar Rana is currently doing PhD in Chemistry from East China University of Science and technology, Shanghai and she is International Student Ambassador of ECUST. Completed Masters from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and Bachelor from Government College University Faisalabad. GCUF awarded her with gold medal for being the highest achiever of the session 2015-19.
Her research is focused on materials chemistry and environmental applications.

MUSHTAQ AHMAD
Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad is the Co-founder and Team Leader of the IM Group of Researchers. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Government Post Graduate College Mardan in 2022. Currently, he is pursuing an MS degree in Chemistry from Tianjin University, China. With a strong foundation in material science and electrochemistry, Mr. Ahmad specializes in battery technology and electrocatalysis, focusing primarily on aqueous zinc-ion batteries and gel polymer electrolytes. His research interests extend to total water splitting, hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), wastewater treatment, fabrication of green adsorbents, and removal of heavy metals,. He has made significant contributions to the field, with six published research papers and three articles currently under revision in international peer-reviewed journals. In recognition of his leadership skills, he has been awarded the Best Group Leader Award by the IM Group of Researchers. Additionally, Mr. Ahmad is skilled in graphic design, enhancing his ability to present research effectively.

AHMED TH. ABDULGHAFFAR
Ahmed Th. Abdulghaffar is a distinguished Egyptian researcher specializing in photochemistry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science at Fayoum University in 2015 and has been a dedicated faculty member there since 2016. In 2020, he successfully completed his Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, guided by the esteemed Professor Mamdouh Taha. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in photocatalytic organic chemistry at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, Henan University. His research is focused on pioneering photoinduced cross-coupling reactions and exploring their fundamental mechanisms. Additionally, he possesses extensive expertise in material sciences and their practical applications, particularly in dye photodegradation and hydrogen production.

BILAL AHMAD

MUHAMMAD MUKHTIYAR KHAN
Muhammad Mukhtiyar Khan is a rising scholar pursuing his Ph.D. in Organophotochemistry and Green Synthesis at the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences Henan University china , driven by a passion for advancing sustainable chemical processes. He laid the foundation for his academic excellence with a Master’s degree from Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal, where he had the privilege of being guided by the esteemed Professor Dr. Farman Ali.
Khan’s research expertise shines in the realm of natural product chemistry, where he has developed a keen proficiency in the isolation and extraction of organic compounds. His meticulous approach and dedication to mastering complex processes have earned him recognition as a skilled researcher in his field.
